Full-time or Part-time

Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Our Technical Delivery team is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the team. As a Data Scientist at Trimontium ai, you’ll be working with data engineers to address Client needs on a wide range of business problems across multiple sectors and verticals. Applying your scientific experience with machine learning and advanced statistical methods, you’ll work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, identifying and applying new methods and techniques as needed, and communicating the results to both internal stakeholders and clients. This includes making modelling recommendations, developing PoC solutions, building and prototyping analysis pipelines to provide insights that will ultimately lead to production deployment.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of developing and deploying a range of machine learning models, for example clustering and classification algorithms, forecasting models, anomaly detection or other statistical methods. You’ll be familiar with large language models (LLMs), and generative and agent-based AI models, and deploying these models in a production environment. The role is based in our Manchester office, and while the successful candidate may work fully remotely occasional visits to client sites will be required. We are open to candidates with a range of experience levels on either a permanent or fractional basis.

Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer

Our Technical Delivery team is looking for a Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer to join the team. At Trimontium ai, Data Engineers work closely with our AI and Data Science team to deliver technical solutions to our clients. This involves the creation and ownership of data processes, ETL pipelines, and monitoring and alerting.

The successful candidate would be responsible for taking a high level architecture that solve a client’s needs and translating it into an effective and robust data pipeline that achieves these goals. This typically involves cleaning and integrating a range of different data sources, paying close attention to data observability and quality, and building self-monitoring pipelines that alert automatically when data discrepancies are detected. For more senior candidates the role would also include responsibility for monitoring the quality of the overall data platform, ensuring that ETL and data solutions are implemented effectively, performance optimised, and reusable.

The ideal candidate will have experience of developing and optimising ETL processes handling large, complex datasets in a cloud environment. We primarily work in Databricks on Azure and GCP, but equivalent experience with other platforms will also be considered. Experience of working alongside data scientists, machine learning and AI models, and MLOps are desirable but not essential. The role is based in our Manchester office but the successful candidate may work fully remotely if needed. We are open to candidates with a range of experience levels on either a permanent or fractional basis.
